Why This Site Exists
Georgia makes many jail and inmate records available through public offices, but Union County has more than one custody path. The Union County Sheriff's Office operates the county jail for pretrial detainees and short local sentences. The Georgia Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for state custody, including Colwell Probation Detention Center in Blairsville. Federal and immigration detainees use still other systems.
What Is Included
The content is arranged around the questions families, attorneys, and record searchers most often need to sort out.
- Help with jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- Facility pages for Union County Jail and Colwell Probation Detention Center.
- Lookup steps for county custody, state GDC custody, federal custody, immigration detention, and VINELink notification.
- Records-request context for booking records, incident reports, court records, and booking photos.
What This Site Cannot Do
Union County Inmate Population is privately run. It is not connected to any Georgia sheriff's office, jail, court, corrections department, police department, or other government agency.
- It cannot release, hold, move, or transfer a person in custody.
- It cannot post bond, schedule visitation, deposit funds, or send money for a visitor.
- It cannot provide legal advice or act as a lawyer.
- It cannot guarantee that every listed phone number, fee, or office procedure is unchanged.
Official custody status, charges, bond, and release information must come from the sheriff's office, the court, GDC, or another agency with legal control over the record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and result rules. When a visitor uses a partner tool that leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available without charging readers for access.
